AGITATE celebrate pictures and those that make them. Our goal is to provide opportunities, nurture artist development, and support photographers to make things happen. By joining as a member you help us do this, and gain access to our making space, members’ events, Patreon platform, and more. Details below.

Our membership model is all about building a practical, flexible, and meaningful community for visual artists working in Scotland. With a focus on MAKING and MIXING, we want to support members to create, critique, share and discover exciting new photographic work; with shared studio access, regular socials, and other cool stuff all part of the package. This is just the beginning of this model, and we have ambitious plans for exciting development in the future.

a summary of the membership tiers

  • Designed for our far-flung friends, DIGTAL membership grants you access to exclusive online content, bi-monthly online member events, and a spot in our digital photography directory.

  • Designed for photographers across Scotland, MIXERS can access all of our exclusive digital opportunities as well as bi-monthly in-person member events and 3 x project crits per year.

  • Designed for local artists, MAKERS enjoy access to our large shared studio space in central Edinburgh, tools and resources, additional support promoting their projects, priority booking, 3 x project crits per year, and all on/offline member events and content.

  • Designed for absolute HEROES, this tier features the full roster of perks plus a welcome gift, photographic portrait, written and website thank you. Of course this tier also come with limitless good karma, and the knowledge that you are supporting a grassroots organisation to be the best they can be.
