shared studio space
AGITATE is currently based in a private open-plan studio space at Saltire Court (20 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh) managed by EP Spaces. We are excited to offer access to this shared studio (with a focus on print/photobook finishing) to our MAKER and HERO members, either on a monthly or annual basis. Monthly studio members can access the studio from 11AM - 5PM from Wednesday - Saturday (note: due to building protocol booking must be made 9-days in advance). Annual studio members benefit from flexible key-card access.
a focus on making
We’ve designed all of the AGITATE membership tiers with a focus on two key pillars of creative community, MAKING and MIXING. We love that our studio can act as a useful resource for photographers or other visual artists needing space, access to print/book finishing tools, or just a second pair of eyes and some support. Membership studio access also gives the option of hosting your own workshops and meetings in a central, accessible workspace in Edinburgh.
Donations // We have re-used and upcycled materials since day one, both out of necessity and out of a desire for more sustainable space-making. We are always on the lookout for gear our members will find useful, so if you have any photography, print finishing, or bookbinding equipment you’re looking to donate, please get in touch. Unfortunately we do not have a darkroom, though have re-homed darkroom equipment previously within our photo network.
